About Chris Megaloudis
Chris took the reins of the Adelphi University men's soccer team in the summer of 2026.
Before being named to lead the Panthers, Megaloudis was the head coach at nearby Molloy University from 2024-2-25. There, he led the Lions to an 11-15-11 record across two seasons and an ECC Championship game berth in 2024.
Megaloudis served as the head assistant under Gary Book at Adelphi from 2022-23, helping guide the Panthers to an NCAA Tournament victory over Queens College in 2022.
Serving as the head coach of the Long Island Rough Riders in USL League Two, one of the premier professional pathway programs in the country, Megaloudis has guided the Rough Riders to a division title and two playoff appearances. More than 30 players have gone through the program and gone on to play professionally.
Megaloudis was the head coach of the Nassau Community College women's soccer team from 2017-21, bringing the program to new heights. The Lions produced a 42-20-6 (.662) record across five seasons under Megaloudis, as he led them to three NJCAA Region XV championships, two NJCAA District titles and a pair of trips to the NJCAA Division III National Championship. He was named NJCAA Region XV Coach of the Year following his debut campaign in 2017.
A native of Astoria, N.Y., Megaloudis was an outstanding player before launching his coaching career. He signed with the New York Red Bulls in 2008 and spent nearly five years with the Puerto Rico National Team, scoring nine goals and earning 20 caps while appearing in six CONCACAF World Cup qualifying matches.
After graduating from Monsignor McClancy High School in 2002 as the school's all-time leading scorer, Megaloudis played four seasons at Division I Saint Peter's University.
Megaloudis earned First Team All-MAAC and NSCAA All-Atlantic Region honors in 2003 for the Peacocks. Two years later, he was a First Team America East All-Conference selection and the team's leading goal scorer at Stony Brook University.
Megaloudis resides in North Bellmore, N.Y. with his wife, Kristine and daughter, Cristina.
